Thai Lucky Number Rose Gold Necklace by MONO
In Thailand, numerology is a ‘kind of a big deal’. There are various methods of choosing ones lucky number, it is usually date of birth or an equal division of it for those born after the 9th. Additionally the shape of the number, in Thai script, is said to inform ones character and identity (see number chart). These unique number pendants are handcrafted in Thai script by Mono. Each comes on a pink gold plated chain and numbers can be added to customise your own necklace. Also available in black rhodium (see separate listing) and the gold colorway will be available soon...
Thai Lucky Numbers further reading: In general odd numbers are oft considered to be luckier than even numbers, with number 3 being very lucky. However, it is the number 9 which is supposed to bring most good fortune in Thailand. Not only is it 3 x 3, but the Thai word for nine, gaew, has special status because it sounds similar to two other important Thai words: kow-nah can be translated as progress or moving forward, whilst the staple food of Thailand, rice, is khao.
